After nearly 18 months without a collective agreement, your Bargaining Committee is issuing this update at 2:00 a.m., following a bargaining session at the Labour Relations Board that began at 10:00 a.m. this morning. We will schedule an information session to present the Employer’s latest proposal, discuss it with members, and seek a mandate from the membership. Once the date, time, and location of the session are confirmed, these details will be communicated to members as soon as possible.

Given the continued discussions at the bargaining table, your committee has decided to pause the current job action and any escalation to a full-scale strike at this time. However, members will continue to refrain from acting, overtime, and standby work.

As members are aware, this round of bargaining has been particularly challenging. We appreciate the membership’s continued support, patience, and solidarity throughout this process.
