JOB ACTION
WITHDRAWAL OF GVRDEU MEMBERS FROM METRO VANCOUVER SITES
Effective June 15, 2026, at 5:30 a.m., the Union made the decision to temporarily remove eligible members from duties at ALL LOCATIONS.
THE UNION HAS DESIGNATED ASSIGNED INDIVIDUALS TO PICKET AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:
- Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve Gate
- Coquitlam Water Treatment Plant/Coquitlam Watershed Gate
- Lake City Operations Centre/Production Way Operations Centre
- Northwest Langley WWTP
- Annacis Island WWTP
- Iona WWTP
- Metrotower III Head Office – 4515 Central Blvd, Burnaby, BC
ALL REMAINING NON-ESSENTIAL MEMBERS ARE DIRECTED TO PICKET AT HEAD OFFICE
THE ABOVE ACTION APPLIES TO ALL ELIGIBLE GVRDEU MEMBERS
Members have been contacted by the Union who are required to maintain essential service levels. This information has been provided to the appointed picket captains at picketed locations.
Please be advised that information on future job action will be communicated through bulletins, and specifics about the Essential Services Global Order are available through your Shop Steward.
We strongly advise Members not to undertake any job action that is not sanctioned by the Union Executive.
