JOB ACTION
THE WITHDRAWAL OF GVRDEU MEMBERS FROM ALL ACTING ROLES, OVERTIME AND STANDBY
Effective 3:38 PM on Sunday, May 24, 2026, the GVRDEU is initiating job action immediately by removing our members from the following capacities:
- NO ACTING ROLES – NO STANDBY – NO OVERTIME
(except as identified in the Essential Services Global Order and assigned by the Union Office)
Any non-essential services workers who are acting will return immediately to their posted roles and will not perform any overtime or standby until further notice. We have notified the Employer of this job action.
Please be advised that information on future job action will be communicated through bulletins and specifics about the Essential Services Global Order are available through your Shop Steward.
We strongly advise Members not to undertake any job action that is not sanctioned by the Union Executive.
