JOB ACTION
WITHDRAWAL OF GVRDEU MEMBERS FROM DESIGNATED METRO VANCOUVER SITES
Effective 6:00 a.m. today, June 12, 2026, the Union has made the decision to temporarily remove our members from all duties at the following locations:
- Coquitlam Watershed
- Coquitlam Water Treatment Plant
- Seymour Watershed Operations and Security
- Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve
- Seymour Capilano Filtration Plant (already withdrawn)
In addition to these identified picket sites, members have also been withdrawn from performing their duties in the Protective Services & Emergency Management Division across the entire Metro Vancouver Region.
THE ABOVE ACTION APPLIES TO ALL MEMBERS WHO ARE LISTED ABOVE
Members have been contacted by the Union who will be required to maintain essential service levels. There will be appointed Picket Captains at the 2 picketed gates.
Please be advised that information on future job action will be communicated through bulletins, and specifics about the Essential Services Global Order are available through your Shop Steward.
We strongly advise Members not to undertake any job action that is not sanctioned by the Union Executive.
