JOB ACTION

WITHDRAWAL OF GVRDEU MEMBERS FROM DESIGNATED METRO VANCOUVER SITES

Effective 5:30 am today, June 8, 2026, the Union has made the decision to temporarily remove our members from all duties at the following locations:

• Grouse Mountain Regional Park, North Vancouver
• Deas Island Regional Park, Delta
• Derby Reach Regional Park, Langley

In addition to the identified picketed sites, members have also been withdrawn from performing their duties in the following two departments:

• Park Rangers deployed from Lenson House at Burnaby Lake Park, Burnaby
• LWS Operations Services at Lions Gate WWTP

THE ABOVE ACTION APPLIES TO ALL MEMBERS WHO ARE LISTED ABOVE

Members have been contacted by the Union who will be required to maintain essential service levels. There will be appointed Picket Captains at Grouse Mountain, Deas Island, and Derby Reach Regional Parks. 

Please be advised that information on future job action will be communicated through bulletins, and specifics about the Essential Services Global Order are available through your Shop Steward.

We strongly advise Members not to undertake any job action that is not sanctioned by the Union Executive.
