JOB ACTION

WITHDRAWAL OF GVRDEU MEMBERS FROM DESIGNATED METRO VANCOUVER SITES

Effective 6:30 a.m., May 28, 2026, the Union has made the decision to temporarily remove our members from all duties at the following locations:

• Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation
• South Fraser Construction Yard
• Head Office at Metrotower III

Picket lines remain in place as job action continues at the following sites:

• Lake City Operations Centre
• Production Way Operations Centre
• Beach Yard Operations & Construction Yards
• Westburnco Operations Yard
• South Fraser Works Yard

THE ABOVE ACTION APPLIES TO ALL MEMBERS WORKING AT ANY OF THE LOCATIONS LISTED ABOVE

Members have been contacted by the Union who will be required to maintain essential service levels. There will be appointed Picket Captains at each picketed site.  Reminder – All members who are not identified in the essential services designation list as assigned by the union office are requested to report to their regular worksites and participate on the picket line.

Please be advised that information on future job action will be communicated through bulletins, and specifics about the Essential Services Global Order are available through your Shop Steward.

We strongly advise Members not to undertake any job action that is not sanctioned by the Union Executive.
