The Employer has issued a notice to exempt supervisors detailing the correct payment procedure for GVRDEU employees regarding how standby and/or overtime is paid when preceded by an acting shift in a higher classification than their posted classification.  Supervisors approving time must ensure that any standby and/or overtime occurring on the same day, following a full 8-hour acting shift, must be paid at the higher classification rate of pay, regardless of the classification in which the standby and/or overtime is performed.
